Shipper - gray silver Linton Tweed
The Bronté's sailor cap is made of a luxurious Linton Tweed. The tweed fabric shows hues of grey, some black with subtle silver grey threads. When you look closely, you even discover a hint of spicy pink, yellow and burnt orange. The women's shipper cap was used by Coco Chanel during the '30s. She was inspired by the typical fisherman's cap in Bretagne.
Linton Tweed has been producing high-quality tweed fabric and yarns for luxury fashion houses worldwide. They have supplied to renown names such as Burberry and Chanel. Since Scotsman William Linton was introduced to the young Coco Chanel back in the early 1920s, this fabric has become popular in contemporary fashion, making it nearly impossible to imagine a Parisian catwalk without it.
